Here are a few pieces from the debut Carlos Niño & Friends record released by Kindred Spirits on LP and CD (outside of the US,) and by Plug Research on CD (in the US,) both in 2009. During the making of this record I was working closely with Dexter Story and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Build An Ark was still going, Jesse Peterson and I just started Turn On The Sunlight, and my radio show on KPFK 90.7FM, Los Angeles, 'Spaceways Radio', was still in effect . . . I was hanging out with my child Azul a lot during this time too, that inspired the "dad joke" pun, Ringo Starr reference, play on words in the title.
